“ I remember so well…the day that you came into my life…you asked for my name, you had the most beautiful smile…”
My life
Started to change
I wake up each day
Feeling alright
With you
Right by my side
Makes me feel
Things will work out
Just fine

How did you know
I needed someone
Like you
In my life
That there’s
An empty space
In my heart
You came
At the right time
In my life

I’ll never forget
How you brought
The sun
To shine
In my life

And took
All the worries
And fears
That I have

I guess
What I’m really
Trying to say
It’s not everyday
That someone
like you
Comes my way
No words can express
How much
I love you.

The first time I looked into this man’s eyes…I knew that I will be hooked for life. True enough, from then on, I have never been the same again…

Today he is exactly 1 year and 9 months old.

Last night, Raine and I were watching the moon. He now calls it moon instead of “ball”– which for the last couple of months the term he uses to refer to anything round – yes! including the moon.
I don’t know what is it about the moon that makes every kid (even adults!) go ga-ga when it’s full? If there’s any truth to the local folklores, the full moon is also the time for the “aswangs” and “manananggals” to go out and hunt for blood. When I was growing up (in bicol), where streetlights were not yet provided at that time: the moon served as our nightlight and a big excuse so we kids in the neighborhood could play patintero until we all drop.
Well whatever it is: may it be aswangs or lovers gone crazy, or moods and temperaments we lost control of…at least,we can always blame it on the full moon!
So there I was, sitting on the front porch with my moonchild: I know I will never be gazing at the moon alone anymore.

For the most part of this blog…i would probably be blogging about Raine (my 21-month old kid), about being a mom among other things. In the meantime, for the benefit of those who might be passing by this page (intentionally or accidentally): below is a brief introduction about me. As i promised to speak only from the pureness of the heart…i hope you find it as true as it can be.
=======================
(written on 28 july 2004)

Too bad I can’t attend the retreat this weekend, believe me I badly need one. Recently I’ve been visiting one of my bestfriend R’s blog, the recent entry was entitled “historical survey” written on her 32nd birthday. Last night I was having bouts of insomia. Although my 32nd birthday is less than a year away…I found myself writing my version of “historical survey” but gave it a different title. Well, I hope you find it worthwhile reaching the end of the page.

“from the pureness of the heart, the mouth speaks”

I cannot remember who originally said or wrote these lines but I sure know that this is my bestfriend G’s favorite line. 10 years ago my young mind cannot yet fathom what these lines mean. Now that I am a mother (and not so young anymore!) I do understand. Kids have the purest of hearts…their soul untainted…like angels they exude only purity, love and innocence.

We adults should learn from children: they do not hold a grudge against anybody, they forgive easily and they’re definitely a good judge of character.

So, from the pureness of my heart, this blog will speak to the world-wide-web!
