Heath Ledger: April 4, 1979 - January 22, 2008
I woke up this morning and found this everywhere: Heath Ledger Found Dead in NYC.
From the Washington Post:
Heath Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man looks, was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment, face-down and naked at the foot of his bed with prescription sleeping pills nearby, police said.
There was no obvious indication that the Australian-born Ledger had committed suicide, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.
Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the SoHo apartment that is believed to be the home of the “Brokeback Mountain” actor, Browne said. The massage therapist and a housekeeper found his naked body in the bed at about 3:30 p.m. They tried to revive him, but he was already dead.
So sad and tragic!
Remember movies like The Patriot, A Knight’s Tale and the most talked about Brokeback Mountain? He was fabulous in all those.

I remember “10 Things I Hate About You”, he was with Julia Stiles. A real guy (although I never finished watching ‘Brokeback ..’ coz of the kissing scene), he was picky about his roles in Hollywood they say. Yes tragic; things just happen.

10 things i hate about you? Hmmm., i do not know that one! he he. finish Brokeback Mountain. that is by far (in my opinion) his best performance ever.
the first time i tried to watch brokeback i fell asleep! i was disturbed and at the same time intrigued after finally being able to finish it. it will make you think: true love has indeed many faces and maybe transcends time and space and even gender.
let’s see if his role as the joker in the new batman movie will trump his performance in brokeback mountain…
still his death is so, so tragic.
