November 2008

I’m not gonna blog this weekend. I’m finished for this month, despite the fact that my monitor is hazy (warning: do not buy the brand red fox!). I’ve borrowed somebody else’s laptop and have been going to town every now and then this month.

December will be a new struggle to get online, what with all the holidays hullabaloo. This time of year it’s just good to stay offline and spend time with family and friends. Read books (not textbooks!) in bed…and maybe go out once or twice to do some Christmas shopping. ;-)

Happy weekend y’all!

It found me. Both of them. ;-) The L— and the job.

Just when I was on the verge of giving up, it found me.

Now I’m basking under the sun, under the rain and taking afternoon naps. At least until January comes!

I didn’t have to try online trading yet. Anyone?

The past month I have been in close consultation with a guy who is going to grow rice in nutrient solution in a large scale. He hired me to become the project manager. (At the moment consultant!) I did that kind of work for some three years but on a research level, under a nice small glasshouse. Now we are on the planning stage of making it on a large scale production. Think 1 acre. Later, other crops, such as some veggies will be ventured into as well. I’m dreaming and breathing the project already. I can’t wait for January to come!

Raine messed up the keyboard of my Asus Eee PC. It was my fault actually for letting him use it. Now the laptop works by inserting a USB keyboard in it. Speaking of laptop memory, I’m getting at least a 1 GB RAM next time.

It is still in my secret wishlist. In Raine’s is a toy laptop so he won’t use mine!

I feel the Christmas spirit because of Raine. Well, bugging me daily with his wishlist for Christmas and birthday (the 29th!) is big enough a reminder that Christmas indeed is just ’round the corner.

The wishlist is as follows in order of importance:

1.  Transformers robots (all characters!!)

2.  New bicycle (the old one went kaput)

3.  Toy race car

4.  Toy gun

5.  Toy laptop

The toy gun i slashed because we already bought it last week. Well there goes, I hope Santa doesn’t forget or turns broke! He he.

Now I’m starting to feel the spirit. I can’t shake it anymore. I realized that my blog money at month’s end is already our noche buena money. The one that comes next (end of December) is for Raine’s birthday and New Year’s already. Time flies. When you’re having fun so the Gloria Estefan song goes. Wow, 2008 is a combination of many a great things in my life, and some not too great as well. I’m still standing up and laughing out loud, that’s most important. I think.

38 days to Christmas folks. I wish I can also say 38 days to vegas. We got new passports but not yet traveling. ;-)

I’m sure I already wrote about tankless water heater in the past. So what else is there to say? Except that Christmas is just ’round the corner and as usual malamig na naman ang pasko ko! Hahaha. ;-)

And Raine’s Christmas wishlist is getting longer and longer. Hayyy.

A week’s vacation from school, yesterday Raine is back to his daily grind. I too am back to my daily grind. At least trying to. I still haven’t recovered from all the eating I did on All Saints’ Day (November 1, day of the dead), I still feel too bloated.

What’s next? Christmas! I don’t even want to hear the countdown on TV.
