The class bully picked on Raine again.

At lunch break, Raine didn’t come out of the gate on time…so I went inside to his classroom. I was told that the principal brought Raine to the school clinic. When he arrived and I saw him for the first time, his right eye was swollen and red. Both eyes have red scratches around. The bully threw crayons at Raine’s face and hit the eyes. That’s what I’ve been told.

WTF?!

I know Raine can be makulit and malikot. But he wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone. If he gets hurt? That’s another story. He will really swing back at any kid who punched him or something. To get even!

Now this kid, the bully. He’s got some level of autism, I’ve been told. He is thrice the size of Raine and seem to have fun picking on his classmates. He is almost 8 years old, yet still in grade 1.

I caught him twice already.

Raine was once coming out of their room, dragging his wheeled-bag and the bully kid came after Raine’s bag kicking it will all his might. I told him to stop. (Ang mata ko nangdidilat). C’mon, what’s his pain? Kicking a helpless bag?? What will you get from that?! He did stop though. But not right away.

One afternoon…I was at the waiting area. Raine was playing inside. Then Raine came to where I was sitting to get water. In the process, Raine passed by in front of the bully. The bully then automatically said to Raine: pangit!!!

Pangit my ass. Siya nga itong pangit, sa totoo lang. (Mukha pang abnormal ang facial expression!) But the mom was a few steps away. I didn’t say anything back. As if I didn’t hear anything. Besides what will I gain kung patulan ko ang bata right? Raine then went back to playing. Before going home that afternoon…upon going out, the kid then said something to Raine again: B -A-B-O-Y!

What??!!!!! Ano bang problema nya, walang ka-abog-abog sabihan nya ang anak ko ng baboy???!!!

I exchanged looked with another mom. Once they were out of sight, with the other mom, we said together: Eh sya nga tong baboy!

Gosh. I’ve been meaning to talk to the kid’s mom since last month. But I’ve been warned that the mom always takes her kid’s side. What am I to do?

Still I wanna talk to the mom. It’s not her kid ending up in the clinic. It’s my kid!

Dumugo lang si Raine isang araw because of that bully? Makikita nila pano mag-huramentado si Gloria! So I’m not gonna wait for that to happen. I’m gonna act now. ;)
