finally found the pier
Three years later (and 10 months after living nearby), and I finally found the famous Sorsogon City Baywalk. In short, pier. We made it there before it got dark earlier.
But it is a nice place to enjoy the sea breeze and have a picnic or just plainly walk and run around with kids.

Raine didn’t want to leave. We’ll sure be back for a picnic or something.

Mataba na ako. At matangkad na si Raine!
angels are among us
And they come in various sizes. They can come in a form of a cool, red-headed lola who gave me a prayer book or a gayish young cousin (17!) who came to accompany me and Raine. (May yayo na si Raine, may tutor pa. He is a BSEd student.)
Cool eh?
Well I just wish somebody gives me a US Visa and a return ticket to DC. Then I wont be needing any Arlington apartments.
A lives an hour away from DC.

31 days
Today marks 31 days of:
ZERO Nicotine
ZERO Caffeine
Enough sleep
(More than) Enough eating.
Whew! All I need is a treadmill.
Or maybe it is 32?! My math is still off by +/- 2. I still gotta txt my mother the exact date I was admitted to the hospital last month. So it’s just been a month?! It feels like 2 or 3.
Anyways…forget about this photo, coz I’m a lot filled-up these days.
2nd round
After getting out of the hospital, this is the second time around that Raine came (and would be sleeping) to the city on our own. So far, so good.
But I’m still taking it easy. We come home on Tuesday afternoon since on Wednesdays Raine’s class starts at 830.
Bad trip walang sembreak. I’m thinking of taking Thursday and Friday off altogether. Shhhh…we’ll see!
finding happy times
Being sick was a blessing in disguise.
Even though we’re broke, I’m at my happiest with my family and my friends.
I wish the victims of Ondoy will find their happy times too even in the midst of a twin-typhoon threat.
We found happy times after milenyo.
2nd grading
Today is the start of Raine’s 3-day 2nd grading exam.
Yes, the school took our Saturday off.
dirt
Now that I don’t use my computer much, kambal’s been hanging out in the city house to watch movies. Then we have lunch together, which is really good coz Raine is eating well.
Not that I’m complaining, but they’re dragging in dirt. I wish the house a central vacuum system, coz I’m doing all the walis-ing!
welcome to the world, baby girl
On October 16, our family was blessed with this little bundle:

My first niece.
grown up kuno
buti pa nung maliiit…di ka pa nag-uutos presentado na.
ngayon utusan mo…GRABE ANG MAKTOL bago sumunod!
kambal yan, di si raine.
banggerahan
A kilometer away from our house, there’s water system. God knows when it will reach us. How can I buy a Grohe faucet? Joke lang, ano kaya yan? He he. Basta gripo. Wala kaming gripo kasi walang running water sa area namin. We still use the balde-tabo system.
Water comes up at night via an electric water pump from a spring water downhill. Our makeshift lababo is called banggerahan — it’s a gubatnon/bicol term for a makeshift lababo.
Ours is this:

Raine took the pic!

goiter made me this thin!
Parang hindi ako:

Why would i need weight loss pills?! Don’t worry may laman na ako ng konti ngayon. I’m slowly recovering. Lamon talaga ang ginagawa ko.
He he he.
I will also post a picture of the after treatment.
healing period
Naka 1 month na sa thyroid problem. So far lumiit ang goiter. So another 2 months ulit na gamutan. Maximum daw 6 months. Depending on the response.
I’m really happy I’m not needing surgery. Since my c-section I’m kinda afraid going under the knife again. I’m happy too that I won’t be looking for natural acne treatments anytime soon.
i never thought
I never thought…
That I could need
Someone as much as I need you
I never thought…
That I could love
Someone as much as I love you.
I know it’s crazy, but It’s true.
Kanta yan ah.
Dan Hill yata.
ancient or just plain old?
Now that I’ve been spending lots of time with my family…I can feel the 15-year gap between me and kambal. Like if they say that some band sang some song. Nooooo…that’s an Apo Hiking Society original.
Then while watching Narnia: Prince Caspian…I was trying to figure out the voice of Asland. I think it’s Liam Neeson’s voice. (I’m not sure though). Then I asked: do you guys know who was the voice of Mufasa in The Lion KIng?
Ate…we haven’t seen The Lion King.
NYeh!
What???!!! You guys haven’t seen The Lion King????
Di nyo kilala si Simba??!!! James Earl Jones, annnnuuuuu baaaaaaa???
And I said all those like not having seen The Lion King is sacrilege.
And the two were staring at me like I’m from Mars.
