raine: good night mommy, i love you.

mom: hmmm…palagi? (always?). kahit nagagalit ako? (even if get angry?)

raine: yes ma’. masaya ako ikaw ang mommy ko. (I’m happy you are my mom!)

mom: I’m happy too Raine…i love you.

raine: good night ‘ma, i love you.

mom: (speechless and can’t sleep anymore!)

What more can I ask for? Who needs sleep when you are loved like that? ;-)

Raine was!

The whole weekend, my brother’s little band was here in the house for practice. Last night, they performed in a friend’s 18th birthday. In fact, two of the band members are still here today…working on a couple of songs.

Raine is still having the time of day! ;-)

We’re having warm, sunny days once more. Raine is just too happy playing outside and picking “flowers”.

Flowers like these:

Ain’t he sweet?! Well, Mothers’ Day is just around the corner! ;-)

There’s only barely two weeks left in Raine’s school days. This afternoon was the open house in his school. Parents were invited to “observe” while the kids did their usual daily stuff.

I was amazed by how quiet the kids in there can be! Yes, including Raine. Each of them was working quietly in each of their little corners. Raine, quiet?! He must be sick.

But indeed, the school room was too quiet. And with the soft breeze coming in through the windows, I was nodding off! Really I was, it was really embarrassing. I bet some kids can’t help but fall asleep in that room! He he.

My little boy first said the word car before he was able to say mama when starting to speak as a baby.

Buti na lang, I can’t afford to buy all the cars he wanted. Otherwise, he’ll be one spoiled little boy! He he he.

I’ve been lazy usually other things to do (you know, like earning money!) so I’ve never found the time to teach Raine to read or write at home.

Not only because of that, but also because I want him to be independent in doing school work and I do not want to put pressure on him as he started going to preschool at age 2.5 years only. Little kids starting early at school are (I think) have the highest risk of being burned out, school-wise.

Regarding Raine’s handwriting, it is something that progressed from “chinese characters” to sticks and stones. Later he turned into a tracing, copycat and then into writing on his own (the whole alphabet and his whole name) from memory. Yeeha!

Since coming back, Raine now owns the (jurassic) digicam. Nobody can stop him from taking photos of just about anything. (Nahawa sa anak ni Ruth!)This morning alone (after 2 hours sa labas), I had to download 71 shots. Here are a few I like most:

I guess I’ll watch out for more. ;-)

Actually the whole weekend was. It just sucks.

It really sucks,  especially if you have a five-year old who always wants to play outdoors on weekends.

The result? Grumpy boy and grumpier mommy! :(

You know, every pregnant mom wishes the best for the fetus inside her. Even before you give birth you already have future dreams for your child.

Though I have always been saying to myself that I will support Raine in whatever course, career, etc. that he decides to pursue in the future, I cannot help but look into my immediat goals in my life and for his life.

Immediate goals will kind-a pave way to the realization of the future goals and dreams.

First of all, I want Raine to behave well, not only at home but most especially in public, in other places.

Second of all, I want to provide him with the best foundation of education, the proper study habits, the appreciation of knowledge and the attitude of wanting to learn for more.

However, these will not happen if I don’t seek for the immediate and most important of goals: health and safety.

I guess any parent will agree with me. As long as we can keep our children healthy and safe, our future dreams for them will become a reality in God’s good time.

Now, I can stop whining about the delay. Raine loved it all.

Raine talks in his sleep. Maybe while he was dreaming of something. I think I did too when I was a child, especially when I was excited over something. I just don’t know if I still do now, Raine is too young to tell me if I do.

Anyway, last night was the funniest, I really thought that Raine was awake and talking to me. As I was putting on a light blanket over him at around midnight last night, he sat up opened his his eyes, turned to me and shouted “Hey you!”.

As in hey you (in english!). The first I heard him say something in his sleep that I understood. He does that a lot - talk in his sleep - but often just mumbles and grumbles I don’t recognize a word of.

After shouting “hey you!” last night, Raine sort of passed out back to sleep. Then I was like, what?! And laughed out loud. He he.

Best Cousins

They fight. But they kiss and make up. Now, that they’re far apart, they miss each other so much.

You have to listen to these two talking over the phone. They talk about cars and robots and the food they’re eating. So cute!

A thousand times good night! Walang hanggang paalam…whatever. :-D

Ahhh.. old habits die hard. What can I say, I work better under pressure. Tell that to my Organic Chemistry lab teacher, he will still give me a 3.0!

Anyways…the last week of the year is looming on me, but I am just halfway through my problogs’ monthly requirements.  Yes, network problogging is harder work. Not that I am complaining… ;-)

Next year, when required number of posts will be strictly imposed on a weekly basis, I’m in trouble man. If I don’t shift my current pace.

Worse is that I have no valid excuse for lagging behind this month. Just that: It’s the holidays man. The holidays! :-P

Next week I should hit the nearest mall and do my Christmas shopping.

To those who are far away, like out of the country or something, you can still send us (me and Raine; me or Raine) in three ways:

See, these days there isn’t an excuse (financial reasons are exempted of course) to send gifts. That is if you really want to send one. Parang there’s a will there’s a way ano at saka there are too many ways to kill a cat yata? He he.

[I hope I don’t get too many spam emails though!]
