where have all the bloggers gone?
I might as well remove my blog roll.
Blogs are either not updated for ages.
Or has totally disappeared.
Where have all the bloggers gone?
I hope they have found a better life outside of the internet.

Blogging sometimes involve the review of promotional products. You will usually get a sample of the product for your own use. I’ve had my own share of such kind of blogging (in my problogs). PR people were kind enough to send me their products even though I am not based in the USA or Canada.
Always, I made sure I gave an honest review — whether or not I find the product favorable to my taste. Besides, I am always entitled to my own honest opinion, right?
However, when you do one? They all keep coming. One day your inbox will be flooded by these PR people. So I just took the liberty of picking out the really good ones that are related to my blogs. Sometimes the items don’t arrive in the mail. Then I’ll completely forget about it. Then I’ll get a follow-up email. Crap. Ha ha ha.
Raine’s 3rd quarter exam - which starts today - is a huge sign that school will soon come to an end. Before I know it, we’ll be receiving graduation invitations in no time.
That means more than 2 months of vacation is in the horizon for us. Summer vacation anyone?
But since I have online duties, the summer vacation will pose a slight problem. Since all my online gears (computer, own internet connection) is in the city house, I’ll probably have to come here regularly during the week.
Maybe MWF? We’ll see. That’s more than 2 months away still and here I am making plans! He he he.
Last night I finished my extra raket and submitted it all.
As of today I’ve got 6 blogs posts remaining to be done and I have until August 31.
6 blog posts in 6 days?? Good stat. Not bad at all.
Meanwhile…since Saturday evening I’ve been doing our laundry. The day’s used clothes, I wash them at night on the kitchen sink. Not heavy at all. Except for the tiny holes (courtesy of Tide detergent) on my skin…one can hardly notice I’ve been doing some extra chores.
Besides, beautiful hands are hands that work. Right?
Starting at 1130 this morning, brownout na sa barrio. A few minutes before 1 pm, I’m back here in the house in the city. I need to work. Then I got distracted browsing my FB friends’ photos!
I thought I’d blog first. My problogs are down.
What’s with today?? Mu-mu ni Ninoy?!
He he he.
Right now? I gotta go home. Mommy duty calls!
2009 Emerging Influential Blog Issue Will Make Your BP Shoot-up and Your Weight Drop!
Have you ever heard of that Emerging Influential Blog something?
There are issues going on about it that you can read here and here.
Warning before reading: Those will make your blood pressure boil some more. However, who needs diet pills?
Now I’m not regretting that I don’t participate in blog awards these days.
This whole week..Barrio Siete has a tribute to President Cory.
All blog entries are about Cory.
Cory is the humblest personality I’ve ever seen in politics. She’s got crendentials under her belt but she sticked to the ‘plain housewife who became president’ label.
She is a daughter of rich parents who was sent to the US for high school and college studies as a result of her cry for personal independence.
She has a major in French and a minor in Math. She wanted to be an interpreter and a Math teacher. Then she came home to the Philippines to study law at FEU. She didn’t finish law of course, she fell in love and married Ninoy.
Since then she became a wife and a mother. She did it all with flying colors. I guess she is one proud, accomplished mom until her daughter Kris entered showbiz and got involved with one controversy after another. What a shame to the family right?!
[Kris should have at least considered her family name before getting into her messy showbiz lovelife and improving her physical appearance (liposuction, cosmetic surgery, noxycut, etc.) the showbiz way!]
Well anybody deserves a second chance right? Don’t mess-up yours Kris.
Cory is a wonderful woman that the whole world admired.
R.I.P. Cory. You are missed.
i put my thoughts on paper again! part 1
So some kid was screaming that made me left the internet shop last Thursday. I went into this bicolano fastfood called Graceland. I ordered a tall glass of iced tea. Since it was so hot due to the brownout that day and I was so thirsty, it didn’t take me long to finish the glass. I wanted to buy more time before the crew send me away. They’re polite of course. Even if they see you staying longer than normal.
I opened my bag. I saw one blank notebook. An excess of Raine’s school notebooks. There was a pen too so I decided to write. Besides, my handwriting badly needs practice. Even the bank teller is complaining that my signature is different.
Oh well…that’s the downside to using the keyboard always.
Below is what I wrote:

In 2004, I started blogging .I didn’t have my computer at home then. So I used to write my blog entries at home in an old notebook. I did this often on those sleepless nights I had. While Raine is sound asleep, I put my thoughts on pen and paper. Later the next day - at an opportunity to get online – I then publish what I wrote.
You see I never kept journals my whole life. I only had page 1 in second grade (in a so-called diary) where I wrote my thoughts for that particular day. My brother found it and read it aloud for everyone to hear.
Pero sa sandaling umuwi ako sa bahay at subukang tignan ang blog ko doon (using my own computer) and latest post na nakikita ko ay yung first day in first grade.
Cleared the cache. Cleared the private data. Updated Firefox. Tried Internet Explorer. Ganun pa rin!
Paging magtatawas at albularyo.
I just found this photo today. I’m guessing Raine took it. That’s me in my corner! Raine is always playing with my extra cellphone. He even discovered that there are several settings in taking pictures. Like this one, parang lumang picture.
That is the corner where I blog, do business (loading business) and get in touch with friends and love ones. That’s also where I watch movies when I feel like it. Even in the middle of the night.
Also, in this corner….I can go to work even in my sleeping wear. No need for office clothes nor breeches.
I have just moderated 584 of spam comments! Whew. Grabe naman. ![]()
With all these blogging stuff, what I really miss is bloghopping — reading other people’s (personal) blogs. It has been a long while since I bloghopped seriously , when I clicked and clicked and clicked thereby ending up in a blog I haven’t been to before. It’s like the Director of Fandemonium is at work. I guess it is really most interesting reading about other people’s lives. Being ‘nosy’ is a universal thing. Hmm..maybe that’s why celebrity blogs have humongous traffic? But then that is another story.
So today I went bloghopping. Only to find out that many blogs I used to visit have disappeared on thin air or haven’t been updated for ages. Ouch! I really should update more often than usual.
Here are the ways I get online in the barrio in descending order of usability:
1. Nokia 6233 with a Globe prepaid sim — internet speed is 460.8 kbps. Data usage rate of Globe is 5 pesos/15 mins. The other good thing is that, the Nokia cellphone has a separate port for the charger and USB cable. So I can get online for hours without running out of battery. As long as the sim has enough load.
2. Motorola RAZR V3x with Smart postpaid sim — internet speed is 260.4 kbps. Data usage rate of Smart is 10 pesos/30 mins. While I have been using this system for almost two years now, I have always complained of running out of battery because there is only one port for the charger and the USB cable. Also, if I don’t watch it my phone bill can reach sky high.
3. Globe Visibility prepaid — I bought this unit 2 months ago for 2,500 pesos. I was told by Globe that it will work on GPRS. Yes it worked alright, but the internet speed is only 3 kbps.
So there. If #s 1 and 2 fail, then I have to take the jeepney to the city to go to an internet cafe. Broadband remains a dream in my area. I guess looking for a Tennessee auto insurance is so much easier. ![]()
