Okay, this isn’t as if I am lusting over LCD TV. It’s just that the TVs in this house are almost gone kaput. One’s display picture just went off one time while in the other, the screen we see isn’t centered anymore.

Then my computer’s monitor is still flickering off and on, on its own! I would love a flat screen. But I don’t have money to buy it. Until then, LCD TVs and computer monitors remain a (bad) dream. ;-) He he.

As is the result of American Idol. Whatever Simon Cowell said last night that David Archuleta knocked out he competition, it was pretty obvious that Cook has got more talent. ;-)

Thank God America didn’t listen to Simon! He ate his own dust by apologizing to David Cook before he was announced the winner.

Yey! Yey Yey Yey! :-)

Though they don’t say how much an idol winner gets. Or do they? For sure, he need not worry about bar tending, mortgage lenders or any other thing that concerns money, for that matter! :-P

Tonight, I can finally watch the season finale of American Idol.

After a channel search around 11 pm last night, the 10+ channels that were gone for almost two weeks are now back.

I called Dream TV costumer service twice. I was told to re-align something in the dish first and then to do a factory reset the next time. Good thing my bros didn’t obey to touch the sat dish!

Why can customer service just tell me that they were having technical problems that’s why some channels have no reception? Is that hard to do? I mean, I am paying for the whole 50+ channels every month (Dream TV charges 890/month for the complete channel package!) so that entitles me to know what’s going on.

Besides, calling them isn’t free noh!

Even if it is just laptop rental I can still complain if the service is crap, right? Hmmm…okay, no need for my blood to boil over this thing! I’m just happy I can watch American Idol again tonight! He he. ;-)

Just when there were only the top 3 finalists, I wasn’t able to watch American Idol this week. First I thought that because it has been raining heavily recently, that’s why some channels’ signal have disappeared. Yes, unfortunately it included Channel 16 on Dream TV: Star World — the cable channel where American Idol is shown here.

Now the skies have cleared and still no signal in some 10 channels. I decided to call the Dream TV Hotline last night and was told that we need to re-align the position of the dish or something.

I told my bros to do the thing within the day…but since they are puyat last night from their first paid band gig, they’re still a little sluggish to comprehend the instructions! he he he.

So…later. I still can catch this week’s 2 episodes of AI tomorrow at lunchtime, if we Star World channel working! But I already scoured the web for this week’s development. I don’t normally do that to avoid spoilers. But this time I made an exception.

Anyways…there are just two Davids left. I just wish America gets tired of the pop-balladeer type in David Archuleta and vote for the real, whole-package talent that is David Cook. ;-)

This week was Andrew Lloyd Webber week at American Idol. I thought I’d never see such a combination.

I guess that was a great move — tested whether any of the contestants can really sing.

All the hair (well, not really all!!) in my body went up watching the whole show. ;-) Ha ha. A full orchestra seem to have that effect on me.

The fact that David Cook is a great talent, has been proven once more. This guy can sing anything, of any genre — and then he brings the house down in practically every performance.

Well, I am torn between David Cook and Michael Johns. Oh my, tough choice.

Michael Johns has maturity that shows in his singing style as opposed to the playful ‘cockiness’ of David Cook (simply because he is a bit younger in age and is single). But man, they’re both hot. Sizzling. :-P

[I bet Paula Abdul can’t decide on which to take home! Ha ha ha.]

Obvious ba? Yeah, I do watch American Idol being shown at Star World. Susme, ano naman katapat sa ABS? Wheel of Fortune ni Kris at TV Patrol! Hmp. ;-)

Sorry…but Ramielle Malubay’s performance is deteriorating. Carly Smithson is waAAAay too cool! ;-)

We are a family that enjoys home movies for entertainment. The influence, we got heavily from our father and something that my mother didn’t and still does not contest.

Before the satelite tv device that we now have, we used to have too many CDs of most of the movies we like, both old and new, and most especially our father’s favorites.

Each time one of us comes home, we bring at least 1 movie CD. My father loved it of course and we too enjoyed the exercise very much. Vacations we spent home, consists of 75% movie marathons on top of being just lazy. After all we are on vacation and even our friends will appreciate it.

However, whatever amount we spent before on our home entertainment showcase, we didn’t arrive ever at finding a discount home theater seating . The couch, the floor and the bed are - to our cheap taste - enough substitute for anything luxurious! :-P

I’ve been meaning to mention this last week but totally forgot. The photos I saw from The Hunky Blog reminded me.

Last week (January 17), Sylvester Stallone guested at the Late Show with David Letterman to promote the new movie Rambo 4, while his buddy Bruce Willis accompanied him but joined the show’s band on vocals and harmonica. Bruce Willis joined the band and stole the whole show. David Letterman even said that Bruce should join his band every night.

It is Monday and we are off to a sleepy start — because I stayed late last night watching Piolo Pascual’s TEN concert telecast on ABS-CBN. He he.

Ten years in show business and Piolo is hotter than ever. As to his singing…he has improved a lot. Well, if Louie Ocampo is that convinced to be Piolo’s album producer and concert musical director…we should be convinced!

It was just too bad that on that concert night (November 30, 2007) Juday was nowhere to be found. Considering that Piolo has had more soaps and movies with Juday than any other of his leading ladies. Thank God Claudine and Angel saved the night!

The concert’s theme was reminiscent of Piolo’s ten years and would look really off if none of his showbiz partners will show up, much less go up the stage while Piolo sings their movie/soap themesong. Di ba?

Well, Juday and Piolo must really had a bad falling out, it’s just so “showbiz” when the three (Juday-Ryan-Piolo) said they all patched things up and everything’s now okay.

I would gush more, but I gotta go! Raine is going to school soon.

Bye muna, fafa Piolo! He he he.

Last night, I watched the season premiere of American Idol 2008 (via Star World). I was laughing in stitches! Not only with the hilarious-lacking-with- singing-prowess people brave enough to audition, but also with Simon Cowell’s facial expressions.

I only watched last year’s towards the end. This will be the first time where I can watch from beginning to end.

Hopefully without missing a single show. I am outnumbered by ABS-CBN shows fans here. Around here, they can watch that same channel 24/7.

That’s why I can only watch the shows I like very late at night, not before 11 pm.
